David Dhawan’s Obsession with Love Triangles
Two things have kept David Dhawan’s movies alive – Govinda and love triangles.
David Dhawan certainly seems to have championed mushy rom-coms that have an expected ending, and if we are lucky, cat fights too!
1. Gharwali Baharwali - Sautans literally become Saheli in this one! Rambha’s attempt at Nepali killed us a little from inside.
2. Mujhse Shaadi Karogi– Tussle between two brawny men over a damsel whose acting back then, gave us distress!
3. Biwi No.1 – Karishma Kapoor’s greasy hairdo made her seem like the typical Bollywood –version of sati savitri while Sushmita Sen’s compulsion to use jaan and baba with perfect blow – dried hair and short skirt fit in well with her role as the mistress.

4. Sajan Chale Sasural – In his hurried journey to become rich, Govinda lands two wives, and often switches roles playing husband as the gaon ka chora and sheher ka ladka.
5. Deewana Mastana – Govinda and Anil fall head over heels for Juhi Chawla, only to lose her to none other than Prem!
6. Andaaz – Maintaining the Bro code, we hereby alert you to a cat fight!
PS: LOL it's Bollywood. What else did you expect?
7. Do Knot Disturb -Logic tied a knot in our heads while we were watching this one! Govinda frantically attempts to keep both the mistress and the missus.
8.Maine Pyar Kyun Kiya -We couldn’t stop laughing once we started! David Dhawan’s love triangle definitely hit the right spot in Maine Pyaar Kyun Kiya!

9. Main Tera Hero – Like father like son! We took notice of how Varun Dhawan’s movies also have a love triangle (SOTY and now Main Tera Hero!), but failed to place a finger at why such obsession with making and acting in movies with love triangles runs in the family!
