Dhanush’s VIP 2 Teaser Looks Really Promising But Where Is Kajol?

Megastar Amitabh Bachchan released the teaser of Dhanush’s Velaiilla Pattadhari 2 (VIP 2) on Wednesday evening, wishing the Raanjhanaa actor good luck. The 37-second teaser gives us a glimpse of Dhanush and Raghuvaran in his ‘massy’ avatar, with Sean Roldan’s guitar riffs breathing life into it. Going by the teaser and a dialogue, Dhanush has grown in stature and it is evident that he has earned more enemies. The teaser ends with Dhanush’s acrobat kick, which he popularized through this series.

Actor Kajol returns to Kollywood nearly after two decades with Dhanush’s VIP 2. Last seen in Arvind Swami starrer Minsara Kanavu, she’s playing a character with negative shades. Sadly, she is nowhere seen in the teaser and it makes one wonder if the makers are heavily guarding her role as it comes with a lot of surprises. Kajol plays a suave industrialist in the film. Nevertheless, the teaser has been well received has clocked over a million views in less than 12 hours. The teaser was released in Tamil as well as dubbed Telugu version.

Directed by Soundarya Rajinikanth, VIP 2 has story by Dhanush. The film is gearing up for release on July 28.
