At 73, veteran actor Tanuja will be making her television debut in a show titled Aarambh. After a successful career in films, the actor, who was last seen in Konkona Sen’s 2016 drama-thriller A Death in the Gunj, will be playing Hahuma in this show that looks at how our society became patriarchal over time.
Television, as a medium with mass appeal and broader reach, has always attracted Bollywood celebs — but mostly as hosts or judges on reality shows. It was an unconventional comeback with the role of a domestic help. Now, after two daily soaps, she will be seen in a drama-comedy titled Savitri Devi College and Hospital.

5. Kalki Koechlin

The Margherita with a straw actor made her TV debut with a travel show last year with her father Joel. It was interesting to see her interact with locals and be spontaneous while discovering the terrains.
