Game Of Thrones Episode 3 Review: First Man To Avenge His Own Death – Jon Snow

Game Of Thrones Episode 3 Review: First Man To Avenge His Own Death – Jon Snow

    Major Spoilers Ahead

With the closure of third episode of GOT season 6, the pumping adrenalines should settle down to make way for matters more important than impending fate of Jon Snow. But you’ve got to admit what’s in front of you! Anything that has kept the audiences hooked up in anticipation for this season has got everything to do with Jon Snow and no one else. While it gives them a moment or two to find their delight in an hour long chapter, it’s taking the shine away from the bigger pictures. With so many stories having gotten segregated, Game of Thrones has reached a stage where giving fair amount of screen time to everyone looks like a tough job at hand.

Anyway, getting on to this chapter of the course here, it largely paints your own imagination with a little turn and gives us what we honestly had been hoping for all this while.

Episode 1: Hopes for Jon Snow’s resurrection ignite!

    Episode 2: Jon Snow resurrected!

Episode 3: Jon Snow avenges his on death!

Did we really expect the makers to take us through a flurry already? Not really! It’s as if you’re watching what you already know is going to happen, only you don’t expect the creators to rush it like anything. Quite contrary to the rapport we are used to, no?

Titled ‘Oathbreaker’, this one is an extension to the building up of so many different stories. As a panting Jon Snow opens his eyes in front of Ser Davos, you know the man is in safe hands. Escalating quickly to what you’d think is an implausible citation, he quickly turns into the Lord Commander of the Watch again and meets up his men. A few scenes later, he is found avenging his own death by hanging all four of his stabbers.

Meanwhile, Daenerys’ long lasting trouble is tediously going on and we’re only waiting for team Tyrion and others to promptly craft a plan to get her out of that. However, Cersie as we best know her to be is in her shells again and plans to take on the High Sparrow by any means (We may soon have a trial by combat.)

However, in other story, the Arya Stark business that frankly wasn’t going anywhere took some substantial turns and ‘the girl with no name’ finally has her eyes. Her repeated beating had been really freaking us out, what do you think?

As for the matters going on in the ‘North’, after having killed his own father, Ramsay gets a visit by someone who not only seeks his help but brings him Rickon Stark to make us wonder what’s he going to do now!

With most of it having escalated quickly, I think it’s time we let the matters sink in: No Jon Snow is not dead! Yes he is up and active! Let’s take our attention to somewhere else unless of course the makers put another twist to the ‘watch’.

Although, as customary as it has been for the makers, they yet again sign off with a cliff hanger where Jon Snow quotes: “May Watch Has Ended”, now what do we make of that?
