Game Of Thrones Episode 5 Review: The Return Of The ‘Heart-Break’

Game Of Thrones Episode 5 Review: The Return Of The ‘Heart-Break’

Yes, the last of the four episodes got to us like no other in the series so far and episode 5 to be honest wasn’t expected to take us off the hooks. It was going to be pretty much about unlocking the grandest of inconsequential mysteries we thought we didn’t want to know! Did you ever wonder why Bran Stark’s protector ‘Hodor’ didn’t have a thing to say other than “Hodor”? Well, probably yes, but did you ever think about knowing why? Probably not!

Game Of Thrones Episode 5 Review: The Return Of The ‘Heart-Break’

Cersei and Jamie sat this one out again and if you were guessing the crawling High Sparrow end would take some shape, it’s probably better you wait for the next one. Titled ‘The Door’, the 5th episode is layering the bits we are going to think about later. With Lord Baelish back in the fray facing an enraged Sansa, your hopes of him being reprimanded would find no closure since we know how clever the Littlefinger is.

Anyway, what looked like a drag for most part still had us glued with Ser Jorah’s heart filled reconciliation with ‘Khaleesi’, Arya’s throwback to his father’s execution and Jon Snow’s freshly led plan to take back Winterfell. Although, what ‘The Door’ in particular brought was dismay to Yara and Theon’s plans to sit on the Iron throne as their uncle after having murdered their father not only successfully claims the throne but also goes after them for a kill. So we know Theon’s never ending run for survival will keep going on.

On to the picture that completely drove this episode, it brought back the White Walkers and it brought back the heart break. How? Watch and see for yourself!

If there’s anything we should be focussing about is that it’s time Bran’s chapter take some more shape. If he doesn’t fight off the White Walkers, god knows what explains the monotony he’s been taking us through! Game of Thrones is halfway through with its 6th season, will we see some major acceleration now? Let’s see.
