This stylish action flick defied all expectations at the box-office by becoming one of the biggest grossers of the year so far.

For year, a portion of Shah Rukh Khan fans wanted him to do a movie that is not just a big money-maker but actually makes for good cinema. And SRK did just that as Fan to be proved to be a smart and engaging thriller with the actor giving one of the best performances of his career. But sadly, that risk came at a price.

Akshay Kumar is hands-down the undisputed king of Bollywood of the year so far. Here's a fact: only two films have entered the 100-crore club this year and guess who was in those films. 

Alia Bhatt's ever-growing stardom reached a new level when two of her films had an impressive showing commercially.
