Allegedly, it was Sonia Kapoor who had enetered Himesh's life and the two had been really close. Sonia, a TV actress, is reportedly dating Himesh since 2006. She had been regular at Himesh flat in Sky Heights, Lokhandwala and at his studio MHADA, Andheri. She used to sit with him when he composed songs or sings them or even when he travels for his performances. Sonia has been a part of TV serials like Parriavar, Zaara, Kkusum and movies like Officer and Fareb. But now, she has disappeared from the industry.

However, Himesh and Komal refused to blame Sonia for their marriage.

According to Komal, her marriage broke because of compatibility issues. She said,

“Himesh and I respect each other and are jointly going with this decision to part ways legally but mutual respect will always be there for us as I am a part of his family and will always be, and the same is with him towards my family. There are compatibility issues in our marriage. Nobody else should be dragged into this matter and nobody else is responsible for this and the reason for our marriage not working is only and only compatibility. Sonia is not responsible for this at all and our son Swayam and our family loves Sonia just like a family member.”

“My family has no problem in it. They also respect our decision. Sometimes, mutual understanding and respect become more important in our life and so we decided to part ways legally to give respect to our relationship. We will always be connected to each other. Komal and I will always be a part of each other’s family and there is no doubt in it.”
