Neerja Bhanot who was a 23 year old air hostess was a symbol of courage! She was on Pan Am Flight 73 on 5 September 1986 when it was hijacked in Karachi by 4 Palestinian men of Abu Nidal Organization. Although, she had an option to escape but she chose to help the passengers first! 

Neerja was killed from a hail of bullets as she saved lives of 3 children! She became the youngest recipient to win the Ashok Chakra Award!
