Movie Review: The Jungle Book

    Movie Review: The Jungle Book

The famous Jungle Book by Rudyard Kipling is finally out on celluloid after years, and here's the first half review of the movie by MJs (Movie Jockies) Nikita Kapoor and Kritika Goel. Here's what they have to say!

The Jungle Book brings back the childhood memories but doesn't hit the right nerve. As we begin to experience Mowgli's adventure in the jungle we are left to remember the beats of 'Jungle jungle baat chali hai, pata chalta hai'. But never the less the film will find a new generation of 'The Jungle Book' lovers with this edition.

As Mowgli, Bagheera, Sher Khan and Baloo come to life, we are thrilled to watch them on screen. Mowgli has bowled us over with his cuteness and we just can't stop adoring him.

The film goes to show Mowgli's encounter with the notorious monkeys, his growing friendship with the pack of elephants and his enemity which puts an end to Sher Khan's monstrosity. With everything put in place, the film will leave you in awe of Mowgli and his adventure. And as a kid next to us rightly said, "I was happy when Sher Khan died because he troubled Mowgli," our feeling was quite similar. There's no flaw in the film and it will definitely make you nostalgic to its best.

A good watch with or even without the kids. Go and live the DD days.
We give The Jungle Book 4 stars.
