Did You Fall For Ranbir And Katrina's Sudden Chemistry During Jagga's Promotions?

Ranbir Kapoor is probably living in a deja vu moment these days since he’s working and promoting films with his ex-girlfriend Katrina Kaif. Love and break up have happened to Ranbir in the past when he dated Deepika Padukone. The story between the two culminated into a beautiful and exemplary friendship when they comfortably did two movies post separation which were welcomed by the audience with open arms.

Ranbir and Katrina’s Jagga Jasoos that got delayed for more than three years and wasn’t seeing the light of the day is finally about to release. It was a big topic of discussion whether the two former lovers would come together to promote the movie which was in muddy waters due to lot of controversies or not, and they came. Perhaps director Anurag Basu convinced both of them to utilize this separation period and negative publicity to their advantage and do whatever it takes to market this movie.

From the first few appearances that Ranbir and Katrina made together to their latest promotional events, there seems like an emptiness and lack of warmth between the two. Of course it’s rather irrational to expect the same chemistry from the two, but their awkwardness with each other is clearly visible not matter how hard they’re trying.

Katrina has been rigorously posting pictures and videos on her social media account with Ranbir, but that too is not convincing. It looks like she’s bound and forced to do this to promote her movie. Even the videos where Ranbir forcefully took over Katrina to answer her part of the questions were an unnecessary gimmick.

For fans who don’t read too much in between the lines, it superficially looks promising that these two will join the exes club who are cordial with each other, but it doesn’t seem so.

In an interview to Firstpost, Katrina said, "There are times I tell Ranbir that he has said a bit too much and he turns around to say that he is enjoying it. I can see the amusement he is getting, so why would I want to take it away from him? There is no malice behind it. It is not a personal platform for us to project our history or equation together."

In their recent interviews, Ranbir especially has become suddenly vocal about Katrina and that she couldn’t act at all in some of her movies, yet she’s an integral part of her life don’t go well with the parallel promotional strategy.

Or is this the real strategy to keep showing a Katti Batti relationship between the two, where this becomes just another case of exploiting a break up to market a film? What’s your opinion? Tell us in your comments.
