Here’s Why Sarabhai Versus Sarabhai Take 2 Is Not Impressive

If you’ve been a diehard fan of Sarabhai Versus Sarabhai, then you basically speak and breathe the serial’s dialogues. ‘Categorically middle class’ could easily be your favourite phrase and you must know Rosesh Sarabhai’s poems by heart! But, the second season of this splendid concept is not touching our hearts to be honest.

Here are a few solid reasons why it’s not clicking with us anymore.

It’s predictable!

The fun of watching the previous season was all about surprises, and things we couldn’t predict! Now, we know the timing when Rosesh will narrate his poems, or if Hain Hain Kumar aka Madhu Fufa is in the frame, he’ll waste a few minutes here and there. The element of surprise and engagement is diminishing.

The beginning and endings are abrupt

When we say abrupt, it doesn’t mean that we don’t like the cliff hanger concept here. But, the forced narratives at the beginning and, Sahil or Indu coming at the end to wrap up the episode are a bit amateurish for the fans. The finishing of the epsiodes isn’t as great as it used to be!

Maya and Monisha’s banters are no more engaging

It was their show! With the coming of Jasmine Mavani who is Rosesh’s girlfriend, Maya has started to develop a latent soft corner for Monisha. Their fights are no more entertaining and the character of Maya surrendering to Monisha Ki Mannat is taking away the charm from her elite image.

Arnab has less than a minute of screen time

Sahil and Monisha’s son, Arnab Sarabhai is hardly there in the three episodes so far. With the entry of an important and new character, we expected some great witty moments which aren’t happening.

We can only pray that this legendary show picks up in the upcoming episodes and we don’t feel the same way anymore. It’s almost a crime not to like this show right? We don’t want to commit it!
