As the trailer of Shah Rukh Khan starrer, 'Fan' was released, all his fans were excited about the big release which could be one of the biggest blockbusters of the year. But what Nagesh Kukunoor's 'Dhanak' has done is quite similar.

The trailer opens with a magnificent wall of posters of Shah Rukh Khan.

Which is quite similar to what was shown in Shah Rukh Khan starrer 'Fan's' first look.

Both the fans have crossed their limits to meet him.

But the stark difference lies in the portrayal of the two fans. Where Gaurav is an obsessive fan, Pari and Chotu are harmless and naive children.

Well, the two films are neither releasing on the same date nor are they similar in their narrative, but the string that ties them together is that in both the films King Khan has fans who, literally, worship him. So focussing on 'Dhanak' first,  'Dhanak' is about a little girl and her brother who walk miles across the unfamiliar terrain in Rajasthan to meet their favourite, star Shah Rukh Khan who is shooting in the hamlet in Rajasthan.

Pari and her visually impaired brother Chotu, leave on a journey of their life. As Pari has promised her brother that he will be able to see before his ninth birthday. Though it is too early to say anything about the film but this trailer has definitely shown us the naive side of childhood once again. These children believe Shah Rukh Khan can do what no one else could do for them, not even god. The arduous journey shown through Pari (Hetal Gada) and Chotu's (Krrish Chhabria) eyes is showing the beauty of the vast land of Rajasthan, the folklore, and the culture. Definitely, worth a note, Chotu is blind but that is also shown without any stereotypes.

The film will release across India in June and it will explore the beauty of this star-fan relationship.

Though it is wrong to compare the two absolutely different films, but the same thread is weaved in two different ways and we couldn't help but notice.
