Vinay Pathak is one theatre actor with a wide array of movies under his belt. But he has not got his due till now and has been one of the most under-rated actors in bollywood for mainly two reasons: 

1) The big commercial movies that he did, had huge stars and his supporting roles were considered forgetful. Hum DIl De Chuke Sanam had a huge star-cast and his role was forgotten in the flurry of Bhansali grandeur.

2) The movies which had him in an important role did not have much commercial success and some even saw delayed releases, one being- Khosla ka Ghosla. 

But leaving these facts besides we can jump up to his acting skills which are eccentrically brilliant to say the least. He owns every character that he plays. His movie Bheja Fry saw one of his best performance in a comic role and was handed the Guild Award and Zee Cine Award for it.

His annoying character of Bharat, an aspiring singer. However, Bharat realises the mess he has created and tries to amend things for Ranjeet played by Rajat Kapoor, but causes more damage in the process.

2) Dasvidaniya

Dasvidaniya means 'Until we meet again' in Russian. The movie is about pursuing your aspirations where Vinay who is a perpetual loser starts planning a different path in his life. It  movie has the cute and catchy song Pyaari Ma.

3) Khosla Ka Ghosla

The movie is a laughter ride to which any Delhiite with an elderly father can relate to. It has several actors along with Vinay, but he still rules the roost for most of the duration of the movie. He rolls in a chauffeur-driven auto-rikshaw in the movie to remind you.

4) Johnny Gaddar

The movie might have been the debut movie of Neil Nitin Mukesh, but Vinay's acting stood out while playing a very shrewd Prakash 'Pakiya' who can even convince his wife to mortgage her parlour.

5) Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi

He was the one changing SRK to a 'hip' dude from his previous dud avatar. To impress Anushka he suggests a whacky makeover and carrying it as an alter-ego by the name of Raj. Vinay opens up SRK to go all out in confessing his love for her. Now helping SRK impress a girl, that too in a Yash Raj movie is a big deal man!
