Top deaths in Game of Thrones!

We GoT fans loathe it when our favourite characters die, and celebrate it when the mean ones bleed. Admit it or not, but the anticipation of who will be next is always exciting. It makes us way more invested in the show.

Lets look at the top most memorable deaths on our favorite show!

1. The Red Wedding

This has to be the most inhumane and gory deaths of all time! We still can't fathom how much pain this episode caused us. The massacre, which was Walder Frey's revenge for Robb breaking his promise of marrying one of his daughters, was barbaric. Roose Bolyon turning away from his banner and joining the Lannisters, daggers everywhere, Robb's pregnant wife Talisa being stabbed in the stomach was enough gore for one episode. 

2. Ned Stark

His death in the first season proved that no one is safe on the show. Sure he was helpless, but we all imagined we would get out of prison. And then his head is chopped off. Major shockwaves!

3. Craster

Committing incest and marrying his daughters, giving his sons to the White Walkers, we surely hated him. And when he died in season three, we couldn't be happier.

4. Oberyn Martell

The charmer Oberyn Martell was our favourite on the show. We were all cheering for him when he was sauntering around The Mountain. He was Tyrion's champion in his trial. He was so close to winning, yet in the last moment The Mountain crushed his head, and gauged his eyes out. Still can't get over it!

5. Tywin Lannister

A dry one compared to his stature, yet we loved how Tyrion Lannister finally breaks his silence and his sufferings and shoots his father with a privy.  As if his constant taunts were not enough, Tywin steals his son's lover, resulting in his death.

6. King Joffrey

We surely were waiting for this. This loathe worthy character finally met his end at his own wedding reception. Nobody cried about his death, and we were all very happy!

7. Ramsay Bolton

There are loads of characters that we are waiting to get rid on the show and Ramsay topped the list. This sadist has us baying for his blood. He committed otracious crimes on Theon and even ensured violence on Sansa. Thankfully, Sansa ensured us his death after feeding him to his bloody dogs. Such a well deserved end.

8. Walder Frey

Arya finally had her sweet revenge for the Red Wedding and it was coupled with Frey pie. The first major death in season seven!

9. Hodor

The most bitter death of all time. Even though he spoke only Hodor, he had grown to become one of our favorite characters on the show. And when he was dying, trying to protect Bran from the White Walkers, his secret for his name is revealed. We all became teary eyed...

10. Khal Drogo

Drogo seemed to be the ultimate warrior, however a mere cut wound was enough to make him comatose. Sure, Khaleesi saved him by bloodmagic, yet she couldn't cope up with the guilt. Hence, she killed him by suffocation. His death, however led to the birth of her dragons.

11. Viserys Targaryen

The obnoxious and vainglorious brother of Dany, his obsession with the Iron Throne led to his end.  Khal Drogo threw molton gold over his head with the immortal line "a cown for the king". 

12. The Faith and the Tyrells

The most brutal Cercei revenge. She burned the whole Sept, along with the High Sparrow and the Tyrells with wildfire, while quietly enjoying her wine. The whole episode has us coughing. 

13. Ygritte

She was the badass, and she was sensational. A wildling who Jon Snow fell in love with, her end was truly tragic and emotional. We all wish they could have stayed in the cave.

14. Lysa Arryn

We all knew she was doomed when she revealed her obssesive side for Lord Baelish. However, she did kill her husband, Jon Arryn for the sake of Baelish. Littlefinger pushed her out of the moondoor, and her death was quite poetic.

15. Ollie

He was a good steward in the Night's Watch and a huge admirer of Jon Snow. However, he did betray him in the most horrible way possible, by stabbing him for which he was hanged. Traitors should always be punished, even if its a little boy.

16. Stannis Baratheon

A brilliant commander, yet he let his choices governed by The Red Lady, that resulted in disastrous results. He sacrificed his daughter Shireen to the Lord of Light and met his end through the hands of Brienne. 

18. Shireen Baratheon

She was sacrificed by being burnt alive on a pyre. Her death was the most tragic of all, resulting in Stannis's doom. We all were teary eyed since Shireen loved and trusted her father, no matter the consequences.

Love them or loathe them , but these deaths were truly shocking and a total game changer!
