Choreographer Ganesh Acharya stunned many when pictures of him weighing 85 kilos lesser, surfaced online. “It was tough for me and took me over a year to lose weight. Tanmay lost 110 kilos thanks to fitness coach Ranveer Allahbadia, says, “He really enjoyed powerlifting (squat, deadlift and bench press). He also ate super clean. We did the ketogenic diet, a primarily zero carb bodybuilding diet. It’s a very difficult diet to follow.”

A strict diet has also helped host-actor Jaaved Jaaferi, who posted a photo of his ripped avatar online. Speaking about how he got the eight packs, the 53-year-old says, “I went on a four-month gluten-free and dairy-free diet. There was Ramadan in the middle and I did some weight training.”

He says, “I knew I had to get rid of three things in my diet — potatoes, rice and sweets. I didn’t touch any of these for six months. Along with this, I walked for at least an hour every day. In fact, I walk 10,000 steps daily,” Kher told HT.

Nutritionist Kavita Devgan, says when one is aiming to lose weight, one has to opt for a healthier diet. “When you are looking for weight loss, do not work on just your calories and create a calorie deficit.
