Guess Who Has Beaten Akshay And The Khans To Be The Highest Tax Paying Celebrity?

Our Bollywood celebrities do earn HUGE sum of money. Proof- their income tax statements! We have seen what hefty amount the celebs pay as tax. Well, the superstars have already filed their advance tax for the fiscal year 2016-17 and the amounts that they have paid will just blow your mind!

1. Hrithik Roshan

The actor has beaten everyone else in paying advance tax. He has paid an advance tax of 80 crore as compared to 50 crore last year. He has had 1500% jump in his gross earnings!

2. Aamir Khan

The Dangal hero is the second in the list and has paid an advance tax of INR 72crore. Last year he had paid an advance tax of 32 crores. His gross earning has gone up by 112%.

3. Ranbir Kapoor.

Ranbir Kapoor, who was last seen in Ae Dil Hai Mushkil, paid 37 crore as advance tax as compared to 9 crore last year! His gross earning this year has increased by 311%.

4. Salman Khan

The Bhaijaan of Bollywood paid 14 crore as advance tax. His gross earning has gone up by 40% and he had paid 10 crore last year!

5. Akshay Kumar

The Khiladi of Bollywood has the reputation of paying huge amount of tax every year. the actor has already paid 10 crore as tax compared to 8 crore paid last year, with an increase of 25% in his gross earnimgs!

Well the Top 5 tax payer list did not have any actress' name. Amongst two prominent actresses who have paid a lumpsome advance tax are Deepika Padukone and Kareena Kapoor Khan. 

Deepika's gross earning went down by 8% and she paid 3 crore advance tax as compared to 3.2 crore last year! 

Kareena Kapoor Khan paid 70 lakh as advance tax as compared to 2.1 crore last year. Her earnings have gone down by 6.7%!

Amongst the directors, the two most prominent tax payers were ADHM director Karan Johar and Sanjay Leela Bhansali.

KJo paid an advance tax of 4.2 crore as compared to 1 crore last year. His gross earning saw a major increase with 355%!

Sanjay Leela Bhasali too saw an increase of 329% in his gross earning and paid an advance tax of 30 lakh as compared to just 7 lakh last year!
