Antim Day 1 Box Office: Salman Khan, Aayush Sharma starrer emerges as the second biggest opener after Sooryavanshi

Antim: The Final Truth released yesterday. The film, which stars Salman Khan, Aayush Sharma and Mahima Makwana, clashed with Satyameva Jayate 2 which released a day before the film. Now, the estimated first day collection of the film is here. And even though it could not match what Rohit Shetty's Sooryavanshi starring Akshay Kumar did on the box office, it did emerge as the second-highest opener!

If a report in BoxOfficeIndia is to be believed, then the film collected somewhere between 4.25- 4.50 crores on Friday. The collections are of no match to Sooryavanshi that grossed 26.29 crores on Day 1. However, it is better than the opening day collections of Bunty Aur Babli 2 and Satyameva Jayate 2.

And since the John Abraham starrer clashed with the film, the collections of Satyameva Jayate 2 have been affected by Antim. The same report suggests that Satyameva's collection went down by close to 40-50% after Antim's release. It is also a given that Antim's collections must have been affected by another film taking up screens. In fact, the collection is low given that a massy star like Salman Khan is a part of the film. But, on Saturday and Sunday, the collections will definitely go up and if everything goes well, the film should gross over 15 crores INR on its first weekend.
