Kabir Singh Box-Office Day 8: Shahid Kapoor Starrer Grosses 12.21 Crores Despite New Releases!

For all those who had been wondering if Shahid Kapoor and Kiara Advani starrer Kabir Singh would be able to maintain its pace on its second Friday, well, we have the answer.

Kabir Singh released last Friday and opened to a whopping 20+ crores. It had a dream run on its first weekend and its first week, but it was to be seen if the film will be able to maintain its foothold yesterday on the face of a new release, Ayushmann Khurrana’s Article 15. Well, Kabir Singh seems to have triumphed this battle as well by collectiong a staggering 12.21 crores on its second Friday. The total collection of the film is now 143.63 crores and it will reach the 150 crore mark with ease today.

In fact, trade analyst Taran Adarsh has also declared the film an all-time Blockbuster. The film has been refusing to slow down and it has therefore been difficult to predict when the Kabir Singh rage will stop. 

The film has also had the best second Friday collection amongst all the films of 2019, big or small. Only Uri:The Surgical Strike had a second Friday collection to boast about and it stood at just 7.66 crores. It is not difficult to guess how big the numbers and its implications are for Kabir Singh!
