Kabir Singh: The Shahid Kapoor Starrer Remains Unstoppable At The Box Office On Day 2

Looks like the Kabir Singh fever among the masses is not going to die to down anytime soon. Despite being lambasted by most critics for being a celebration of blatant misogyny, the audience can’t get enough of the film.

The Shahid Kapoor starrer gave him his biggest solo opening on Friday when it collection touched Rs.20.21 crores on its first day. Not just that, the film has managed to be steady and even showed a jump on Saturday and went on to collect Rs. 22.71 crores on its second day. The total domestic collection of the film after two days stands at a whopping 42.92 and it is evidently clear that the film will cross the 50 crore mark after Sunday. In fact, if trade pundits are to be believed, then the film might amass close to Rs. 70 crores on its opening weekend.

The Saturday collection is also a big deal because it clashed with the India v/s Afghanistan match in the on-going ICC Cricket World Cup in England. Kabir Singh has already earned more than what Gully Boy or Uri: The Surgical Strike managed to bring in on their opening weekend and is the trend continues it might beat the opening weekend collections of films like Kesari and Total Dhamaal.
