Love Aaj Kal Day 1 Box-Office: Kartik-Sara Starrer Gets Valentine’s Day Boost, Becomes Former's Highest Opener Ever!

Love Aaj Kal had undoubtedly been one of the most anticipated films of not just the month, but the entire year. Be it because of the fact that it’s been helmed by Imtiaz Ali or because of lead stars Sara Ali Khan and Kartik Aaryan’s undeniable chemistry, a lot of hype had been generated around the film. While the reviews are not as heartening as the hype, the first day numbers of the film is good!

Love Aaj Kal was rock solid at the box-office, so much that it turned to be the highest opener for Kartik Aaryan. The film collected a good 12.40 crores INR on its opening day. Undoubtedly, the film got a boost because of Valentine’s Day and it performed exceedingly well in the metros. However, the film could not do just as well in the Tier 2 cities or in the mass circuits.

Given that the reviews have been largely negative, the business of the film might be affected. It is crucial for Love Aaj Kal to do well on its first weekend as well.
