    Even though just the first quarter of 2019 is through, there are plans already in place for 2020. With holidays always in high demand, several superstars have already booked many lucrative spots for the arrival of their biggies. Let's take a look.


    Republic Day (26th January) - Panga releases on 24th January

    Kangana Ranaut had brought her Manikarnika - The Queen of Jhansi around the Republic Day weekend this year. She is now pretty much looking at making the slot her own, what with Panga being slated to arrive around this big holiday next year. The film is directed by Ashwini Iyer Tiwary who last delivered a success with Bareilly Ki Barfi.


    Valentine's Day (14th February) - Love Aaj Kal 2 (title to be finalized) and Malang releases on 14th February

    This year on Valentine's Day, Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt's Gully Boy had hit the screens. Next year it is going to be one up, what with Love Aaj Kal 2 (title yet to be finalized) and Malang slated to arrive on the day when love is in the air. Former has Imtiaz Ali calling the shots with hot-n-happening 'jodi' of Kartik Aaryan and Sara Ali Khan coming together. On the other hand Malang has the Aashiqui 2 'jodi' of Mohit Suri and Aditya Roy Kapur pairing up again along with Disha Patani, Anil Kapoor and Kunal Khemu. This is going to be a very interesting clash.


    Holi (10th March) - Baaghi 3 releases on 6th March

    Karan Johar's Kesari hit the screens on the festive occasion of Holi this year and in 2020 it would be time for Sajid Nadiadwala's biggie Baaghi 3 to arrive. Tiger Shroff would be seen in the third installment of this action packed franchise with director Ahmed Khan calling the shots again. The film would arrive a bit early and then take advantage of the Holi holiday later.


    Good Friday (10th April) - '83 releases on 10th April

    Ranveer Singh's '83 has been making waves for quite some time now and the entire cast of the biggie has finally been announced. Based on India's famous World Cup win back in 1983, the film has director Kabir Khan stepping into an altogether different zone after making Tubelight. As for Ranveer Singh, he would be enacting the part of none other than Kapil Dev in the film.


    Eid (30th July-31st July) - Sooryavanshi, Inshallah, RRR, Shamshera release on 30th-31st July

    As many as four films have been announced for Eid 2020 and rest assured, at least a couple of these would definitely move ahead. First to stake claim on the date was Yash Raj Films which expressed intention of bringing Ranbir Kapoor's Shamshera on this date. Akshay Kumar-Rohit Shetty's Sooryavanshi too was announced later. However, in the last few days S.S. Rajamouli's RRR (with Ajay Devgn and Alia Bhatt in integral roles) and Salman Khan-Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Inshallah have also announced their arrival on Eid. Too much of crowd building up here.


    Independence Day (15th August) - Bhuj - The Pride of India releases on 14th August

    Though the slot was lying vacant for a while, that's not the case anymore as Ajay Devgn has staked claim for Independence Day weekend. His Bhuj - The Pride of India would now be arriving on this prestigious weekend. Given the patriotic flavor of the film which is set around 1971 Indo-Pak war, this one has found just the apt slot for its arrival.


    Gandhi Jayanti (2nd October) - Rambo releases on 2nd October

    Tiger Shroff could well be aiming to make Gandhi Jayanti weekend his own. This year, his yet untitled film by director Sidharth Anand with Hrithik Roshan is set to arrive on 2nd October. Now in 2020 too he is bringing Rambo in theaters, and the director is Sidharth again. Incidentally, Sidharth is connected with Gandhi Jayanti as well since his Bang Bang too released on this day.


    Christmas (25th December) - Luv Ranjan’s next starring Ajay Devgn and Ranbir Kapoor releases on 25th December

    2020 is expected to end with a bang as director Luv Ranjan would be returning with his yet untitled film that would feature Ajay Devgn and Ranbir Kapoor together again after Raajneeti. Of course the stage and setting would be totally different from the Prakash Jha directed political drama. Also, the festive season warrants an out and out family entertainer on this date.


    Ganesh Chaturthi (22nd August), Dusshehra (25th October), Diwali (14th November) - Incidentally, these are the slots that are still available and hence are up for grabs. Guess it is about time that superstars and prominent filmmakers pick these up sooner than later.
