    Marvel’s latest movie Shang Chi and The Legend Of The Ten Rings is busy reviving theatres in India. The film introduces Marvel Cinematic Universe’s (MCU) first Asian superhero and the is getting a great response from the global audiences. The film grossed over Rs. 3 crores on its opening day in Indian cinemas on September 3, Friday, and has seen only seen a small spike in connections of Day 2, Saturday.

    Starring Simu Liu, Tony Leung, Michelle Yeoh, and Awwkwafina in key roles, Shang Chi is an original story about a Chinese comic book character by the same name. On Saturday the film earned Rs. 3.33 crores according to trade expert Taran Adarsh. The gross total for the film for all languages stands at Rs. 7.50 crores while the two days Nett collection is Rs. 6.30 crores in India.

    The movie tells the story of Shang Chi a valet in San Francisco who ran away from home as a teen after being trained as an assassin by his immortal 1000-year-old father who heads the Ten Rings army in China. Shang Chi has to face his past after his father orders an attack on him and his sister.

    The new superhero addition to the MCU will be joining the ranks of the Avengers in the future it is expected.
