Love Aaj Kal: Kartik Aaryan And Sara Ali Khan’s Chemistry Is The Only Redeemable Thing In This Trailer!

The trailer of Kartik Aaryan and Sara Ali Khan starrer Love Aaj Kal is here. The film has been directed by Imtiaz Ali and it has every quintessential Ali element in it. Yes, this has the same concept that the 2009 film starring Saif Ali Khan and Deepika Padukone had, but while that version had some novelty, this one now looks beaten to death. In fact, looking at the trailer, we aren’t sure if Kartik-Sara can pull off something that Saif-Deepika managed to do!

The problem here is while the dilemma of relationship, love and balancing it with career was something that audiences could see in 2009, it is not something we would want to revisit yet again in 2020. Yes, it has moments that Tamasha had, but again, the impact just doesn’t get through with Kartik Sara. However, it might be too early to say with just the trailer, but their shortcomings while doing emotionally straining scenes are visible!

Sara Ali Khan and Kartik Aaryan’s chemistry is the only thing that would get you excited about this one. They are fireworks, and the tension is palpable. They complement each other on-screen.

Arushi Sharma would play the then girlfriend in the ‘kal’ version. She is good, even though she seems to be having limited screen time.

Arushi’s character might also be related to Sara, or this time it might be through the woman that the narrative would move forward unlike the 2009 version.

Ahoon-Ahoon would make a comeback in this one, probably as it was. The cinematography is eye-catching even in the trailer. The locales, the burst of colours and the setting is amazing. This is one quintessential Ali element that we aren’t complaining about here. Check out the trailer here:
