Luka Chhupi's First Song Poster Lagwa Do Is Another Pointless Remake That Serves No Purpose

The first song from Kartik Aaryan and Kriti Sanon starrer Luka Chupi is out! Directed by Laxman Utekar, Luka Chhupi is the first film of Kartik Aaryan after achieving overnight stardom with Sonu Ki Titu Ki Sweety.

The film is all set to hit the theatres on March 1st and although a fresh pairing of Kartik Aaryan and Kriti Sanon is actually pretty exciting, unfortunately, we can't say the same about the song. While we think we are done cribbing about the pointless remakes, Bollywood does not seem to take the hint. Here are our takeaways from the song.

Remake Of A Akhshay Kumar Song

The song is a remake of the superhit Akshay Kumar song from the film Aflatoon. The Akshay Kumar and Urmila Matondkar starrer came out in 1997 and was a major hit.

    Lazy Remake

As much as most of us despise remakes, they can certainly work if done well. This song, however, is not a bad but a lazy remake. In fact, it is hardly a remake at all. The whole songs is almost exactly the same and there is only a little bit of delayed beat drop in one part which really neither adds nor subtracts anything from the original or the feel of the new song.

Mika's Voice On Kartik Aaryan Seems Off

We love Kartik Aaryan and we love Mika's voice, but somehow we do not like it together. Somehow, something is off and it is just a tad bit weird to hear Mika's booming voice on Kartik's sweet and boyish face.

    Moves Are On Point

Not everything about the song, however, is pointless. The choreography of the song is pretty much on point and both Kartik and Kriti are nailing the move and how. The song is colorful and vibrant and with a kickass choreography that actually has a very 90s feel to it. We likey!

    Best Part Of The Song

The best part of the song is easily seeing Pankaj Tripathi and Aparshakti Khurrana break a move. Seeing them together brings back some serious Stree feels but even Stree did not even have them dancing. It is this aspect of the song which impressed the most.
