Jimmy Shergill Continues His Stint Of Waiting To Get Married In The 'Veerey Ki Wedding' Trailer!

First things first. Don’t confuse Veerey Ki wedding with Veere Di Wedding . This trailer is of Veerey Ki Wedding that features Pulkit Samrat, Kriti Kharbanda and Jimmy Shergill in lead roles. The other film, Veerey Di Wedding starring Sonam Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor Khan, is still under-production.

The 2:42-minute trailer of Veerey Ki Wedding starts with Veer (Pulkit Samrat) trying to imitate Salman Khan . He announces, “Main logon ki problem solve karta hoon,” (I solve problems). This is his life’s mission with a law-breaking elder brother Balli (Jimmy Shergill) watching his back.

What is Jimmy Shergill doing in the film? After playing a mobster in Mukkabaaz, he is back to playing a guy waiting to get married since eternity. Basically, what he has been doing in Tanu Weds Manu, Happy Bhaag Jayegi and Tanu Weds Manu Returns . That wouldn’t come without him mouthing dialogues like, “Ladkiyon ke peeche nahi bhaagna chahiye, lautna mushkil ho jaata hai,” (Don’t chase girls, it gets difficult to return).

Kriti Kharbanda’s Geet plays Veer’s love interest and that starts a war between their families. Meanwhile, Jimmy Shergill keeps delivering dialogues to impress the viewers.

In fact, the highlight of the trailer is Shergill wishing to get married on the same day as Salman Khan and Rahul (he doesn’t mention Gandhi though).

Ashu Trikha, who has directed films like Koyelanchal, Alag, Enemmy and Deewanapan, has wielded the megaphone for Veerey Ki Wedding which is going to hit the screens on March 9, 2018.

On the other hand, Veerey Di Wedding is looking for a June 1 release.
