5 Times A New Bollywood Actor Gave The Highest Grossing Film Of The Year
The Hindi Film industry has been very much welcoming to new actors and some of these actors have gone on to become legends and future superstars of Bollywood. It is very difficult to mark your presence in an industry which sees the most number of films released in a year and where the audiences easily forget what happened last week. Very few actors have been able to achieve the superstardom in the industry.
A number of these Bollywood actors showed promise from the very first film of the career and if your start is good, chances are you will find it easier to be a part of new films as directors/producers automatically start queuing up to sign you. But a few Bollywood actors not started their careers with a hit, they gave the biggest blockbuster of the year, even being a newcomer to the industry and beating out the top and established stars. Hrithik Roshan: He debuted in the year 2000 with Kaho Naa Pyaar Hai in which he starred opposite Ameesha Patel and the film went on to break all the records and became an All-Time Blockbuster. It straightaway catapulted Hrithik into superstardom and the film earned 44.27 Crores.
Salman Khan: Though he made his debut in Biwi Ho To Aisi in 1988, the newcomer attained mainstream popularity thanks to the all-time blockbuster success of Maine Pyaar Kiya in 1989. The film earned 14 Crores and was the highest grossing film of the year.
Rajiv Kapoor: Raj Kapoor's son starred in his father's last directorial Ram Teri Ganga Maili which became a blockbuster at the box-office. Though he had debuted 2 years back, he wasn't a big star until he starred in Ram Teri Ganga Maili which earned 9.5 Crores.
Rishi Kapoor: He debuted as a teenage actor in his father's Mera Naam Joker in 1970 and made his adult debut as an actor in 1973 Bobby. Bobby was a blockbuster and earned 5.5 Crores.
Dharmendra: Though the actor had made his Bollywood debut in 1960, he mostly featured in supporting and side roles and it was his first lead role in 1966 film, Phool Aur Patthar which put him in the A-list category. He starred opposite Meena Kumari in the film and it was a blockbuster which earned 2.75 Crores.
