Celebrities have often said in interviews that they are just like normal people and there are times when they have faced problems just like the ones common people face every day. It becomes news because the person in question turns out to be a public figure and through their plight, we get to know about the strict measures and guidelines that people have to follow while travelling.
But sometimes, we have seen celebrities facing problems for trivial reasons that also irritates a common traveller. Mostly, when Indian celebrities are travelling abroad, we get to see the problems they face are related to racism, racial profiling and religion. Shah Rukh Khan- Tha Badshah of Bollywood has faced problems at US Airports numerous times. He was apparently detained twice once in New Jersey and other time at New York Airport. He took to Twitter to vent out his frustration and said that It sucks when he is detained every damn time.
Irrfan Khan- One of the popular Bollywood actors who also maintain a full-time Hollywood career, Irrfan has been detained at US Airports twice. Once was in 2008 at LA Airport and other time was in 2009 at New York Airport. He told in an interview that it was a very humiliating experience as these wounds never heal.
Neil Nitin Mukesh- The actor's incident turned out to be a quirky one as when he was detained at New York Airport in 2009, the officials didn't believe that he was Indian as he was "too fair".
Waris Ahluwalia- The Indian born American actor & fashion designer wasn't allowed to board a flight from Mexico City to New York as the official wanted him to remove his turban. Such particular racial discrimination enraged everyone.
Divyanka Tripathi- The actor took to Twitter to express her anger at the airline she was travelling with forgot to bring her baggage and didn't even tell her about it.
Aditya Narayan- The singer-actor created a ruckus at Raipur airport after he refused to pay for the extra baggage he was carrying.
