9 Bollywood Movies That Were Announced 2 Years In Advance
Every year, we see a number of Bollywood films trying to find a perfect release date that gives them a clean run at the box-office without any clashes. While a few films are lucky to get a clean slot, a majority of the films either clash with each other or get just a week or two week's window before a film featuring another star hits the theatres.
Filmmakers, producers and actors often try to go for attractive slots like festival releases, long-weekends or Independence Day or Republic Day weekends as a lot of people are free during those times and they flock to theatres to watch films featuring their favourite stars. Sometimes, when a year is too crowded with films and actors are shooting for other projects, makers announce future projects years in advance and block a release date. Here are 7 Bollywood movies that were announced 2 years in advance:
Krrish 4: On Hrithik Roshan's birthday, Rakesh Roshan announced the release date of Krrish 4, the 4th film in Krrish franchise. The previous parts of the franchise have been big hits at the box-office and expectations will be sky high from Krrish 4.
Shuddhi: Agneepath director Karan Malhotra had announced Shuddhi in 2014 but multiple cast changes and other production issues have kept the cameras from rolling.
Hera Pheri 3: The massively popular Hera-Pheri franchise had its 3rd film announced way back in 2015 with a new star-cast but numerous issues regarding cast, script and production left the film incomplete.
Zero: The Shah Rukh Khan starrer was announced by the actor and director Anand L Rai in August 2016 with December 21, 2018, as the release date. The film is on track for its December release.
