This Picture Review Of Sanju Tells a Tale That Words Fail To convey
After all the anticipation and excitement, the much-awaited Sanju has finally hit the theatres and we can barely keep our excitement levels in check. Together with Ranbir Kapoor, Rajkumar Hirani has shown why he is the most bankable directors of the Bollywood.
Sanju, as a film traces the journey of Sanjay Dutt from an irresponsible and bratty star kid bent on self-destruction to a man with resolve, determination and lot of hope. The film throws light on the crisis of Sanju's life which includes his drug abuse and TADA case.
In terms of performance, Ranbir Kapoor delivers his career' best and is supported by a brilliant Paresh Rawal and an unbelievably amazing Vicky Kaushal.
However, it is not free of its flaws. The film, which claims to be a biopic of Sanjay Dutt indulges in too much dramatization and fictionalization and fails to talk about a lot of important aspects of the superstar's life.
But even with all its flaws, the heartwarming father-son story and a saga of friendship coupled with a fascinating real life story makes sure that Sanju lands its place in modern classics of Bollywood
