Real Students Send Their Pictures To Karan Johar In Response To Student Of The Year 2
Karan Johar directed the 2012 box-office hit Student of the Year which introduced to the world 3 new talents, Sidharth Malhotra, Alia Bhatt and Varun Dhawan. The film took place in a fairytale land far far away from the realities of the real school, students or the education system. As it was a Karan Johar film, everything was on a grand scale and every student looked like an Instagram model.
Then came the news that Tiger Shroff will be seen in the sequel to Student of the Year and very soon it was announced officially. Punit Malhotra will be directing this installment while Karan Johar will be producing it. The film also has 2 leading ladies, Tara Sutaria and Ananya Pandey. The moment Karan shared the first look posters on social media, he was trolled (again) for supporting nepotism.
Some of the users went a step further and took it upon themselves to remind Karan Johar and Bollywood that what the real students actually looked like. No, they don't have chiseled bodies or washboard abs, they don't even have the perfectly filtered looks or access to high-end designer clothes or products.
All the real students suffer from a lot of stress which seems to be missing from the Student of the Year movies. Going by the posters of the film, it looks like another fairytale world where students can do anything except what the real students do in India. There are going to be song and dance sequences and students breaking into perfectly choreographed routines something a real student would struggle very hard to do.
