The Ghanta Awards: Who Was Worst In Bollywood?

The annual Ghanta awards have been announced and SRK fans might want to look away. The actor, whose movie Dilwale last December, has won in Worst Actor category.

Ghanta awards, which are given to recognise the worst in Bollywood, were announced yesterday. The audience got to vote in 14 categories representing the worst of Bollywood. Online voting went right up till the eve of the awards event.

Here are the major ‘winners’ from the event:

Worst Film - "Prem Ratan Dhan Payo" 

Fact: The film earned some ₹430 crore worldwide. Fact: That makes it a huge success by any standard. Fact: It also irritated a lot of people in its almost three-hour running time.

Worst Actor - Shah Rukh Khan - "Dilwale"

There are times in life when you don't understand why certain things happen. Shah Rukh Khan doing Rohit Shetty's Dilwale caused the same frustration.

Worst Actress - Sonam Kapoor- "Prem Ratan Dhan Paayo"/"Dolly Ki Doli"

Serial winner of such awards, Sonam Kapoor makes yet another appearance. Maybe her performance in Neerja changes all this.

Worst Director - Vikas Bahl - "Shaandaar"

In case you don't remember which movie Shaandar is, you are one of the lucky ones. The director is rightly honoured for making a Shahid Kapoor-Alia Bhatt movie such a forgettable experience.

Worst Debut - Sooraj Pancholi - "Hero"

To be fair to him, the film was at least equally terrible.
