The new song from the film Pagalpanti is here and well…ummmm…it is here! The song named  Walla Walla has been composed by Nayeem-Shabeer and sung by Nakash Aziz, Neeti Mohan and Nayeem Shah. Strongly influenced by the middle eastern sound, the song has all the stereotypical lyrics including walla walla that obviously rhymes with mashallah and other usual suspects like Irani, noorani, sultani and so on which has been penned by Arafat Mahmood.

It is difficult to figure out if it is a promotional track of a song that has something to do with the story or the narrative of the film. The video has a glitzy and glamour-y set where Kriti Kharbanda and Ileana D’Cruz make a failed attempt at belly dancing while they look absolutely gorgeous in their, you guessed it right, belly dancing-esque costumes and definitely hairs flying in the wind. Anil Kapoor, Arshad Warsi, John Abraham don their sherwanis and dhotis and try to match step with the leading ladies amidst ‘firang’ background dancers while Pulkit Samrat looks like a deranged character from Alif Laila brought to live. Seriously dude, leave all of that to Ranveer Singh!

Given the trailer gave a serious Welcome vibe, this song instantly reminds us of ‘Inshallah’ from that film and the god of quota system in songs of franchise films is appeased once again.

Starring Anil Kapoor, John Abraham, Arshad Warsi, Ileana D’Cruz, Kriti Kharbanda, Pulkit Samrat and Urvashi Rautela, Pagalpanti is a mad comedy caper directed by Anees Bazmee. The film is all set to hit the theatres on 22nd November.
