5 Bollywood Actors Who Proved That Men Are Not Afraid Of Experimenting With Fashion At The GQ Men Of The Year Awards

Whenever we talk about fashion and current trends, there is a general tendency to veer more towards the world of women fashion. While there are several men in Bollywood who are effortlessly stylish, it is probably the women who have more options and tend to experiment more with their looks. Even at red carpets and fashion events, men mostly tend to stick to classic tuxedos or ornate bandhgala. It is only perhaps Ranveer Singh who constantly experiments, but apart from that, men in the industry mostly go for tried and tested routes.

However, recently, the red carpet of GQ Men Of The Year Awards saw some actors from the industry going the extra mile and coming up with looks which are wearable but at the same time have an edge or individualism that we rarely see. Check out a few look from the event where men proved that they are not afraid of experimenting.

Shahid Kapoor

One does not have to go all Ranveer Singh to experiment with men’s fashion. Sometimes just a small tweaking can do wonders for the same ole silhouetted of menswear that we have been seeing for years. Shahid Kapoor, for the event, did exactly that by putting wearing a belt over the blazer of his pantsuit. TBH Shahid has done this trick before as well, but we like how something so subtle gave the whole black suit look a new dimension.

Aparshakti Khurrana

Both Ayushmann and Aparshakti Khurrana are not afraid of experimentation in general, but for this particular event, Aparshakti went for edgy while Ayushmann stuck to the classics. The white trench coat with a scarf and turtle neck paired with formal pants and chunky sports shoes works amazingly well. Despite having too many conflicting elements, the look works as a whole and that is what experimentation is all about.

Jim Sarbh

Maybe it is her theatre background, but Jim Sarbh is incredibly comfortable in his skin and has zero inhibitions even when it comes to experimenting, whether it is his roles or his sartorial choices. A high neck t-shirt with palazzo pants and waistcoat is not a silhouette we often see on men but Jim carries it effortlessly.

Angad Bedi

Just like Shahid Kapoor, Angad Bedi’s experiment is also subtle but very effective. The dull olive color of his suit simply stood out in a sea of black and navy tuxes and we simply love his handsome self in it. Also, colors like these look exceptionally flattering on Indian men given the mostly warm undertones of their skin.

Manjot Singh

Who knew this cutie is a fashionista as well. His textured suit gets a complete makeover because of the cape that is attached to the pants and we can’t but applaud Manjot for going with this look. I mean how often do you see something new in something as mundane as black formal pants for men!
