For her next Hollywod project, Priyanka will be playing the role of Maa Anand Sheela, who was the personal assistant/ spokesperson/supposed lover turned enemy of Guru Rajneesh or Osho as people popularly know him as.

Even if you were not born during the whole Osho episode of missed the superhit series Wild Wild West, you must have an idea of the cult that this self styled enlightened man started. As his empire grew both in India and in West, Maa Sheela became the second in command of the whole operation and then shunned the whole establishment after a series of twisted events.

After Guru Rajneesh started his Ashram in India, it was Maa Sheel who actually convinced him to move to USA. She purchased a 64,000 acres ranch in Wasco County, Oregon which became the site of Rajneeshpuram commune.

Acid Tongued

In several of her interviews, journalists have remarked that she had a sharp tongue. Rajneeshpuram was hardly popular with the locales and the local government of Oregon and this lead to Maa Sheela calling local government officials bigoted pigs and fascists on multiple occasions.

False Voters

In 1984, when the conflict between ashram and the local officials and residents reached a saturation, Maa Sheela tried to tackle the situation by contesting in the county elections. However, in order to win the election, she brought in hundreds of homeless people from Oregon and outside and registered them as county voters.

Bio-Terrorism

One of the worst cases of bioterrorism in America is attributed to this woman. After all her efforts to bring the Wasco County residents and official to peace failed, she conspired and executed salmonella infection in 10 local salad bars. More than 700 people fell ill due to the incident.
