Aankhen 2: Amitabh Bachchan, Sidharth Malhotra Not A Part Of The Film Anymore? Read Deets...

Aankhen 2 had been announced way back and there has been no progress in the film. It was just months back that an update on the film was made. It was being said that Amitabh Bachchan would be a part of the film and Sidharth Malhotra and Akshaye Khanna have joined the cast. It was also being said that Sidharth and Akshaye will begin the shoot from May 20th and Bachchan will join them later. But now, looks like even that is not happening.

A report in Mid Day claims that Amitabh Bachchan and Sidharth Malhotra have backed out of the project. A source quoted by the daily said, “In the past two months, there was little progress on the impending schedule. Since the film was taking longer than expected to go on floors, Bachchan saab and Sidharth could no longer put their other projects on hold and graciously bowed out of the movie. Sidharth will be tied up for the next few months with Mission Majnu and Thank God while Bachchan saab started shooting for Goodbye.”

The report also claimed that the makers are now looking for a new cast and have approached Anil Kapoor and Rana Daggubati. There has been no official word about this yet.
