Abhinav Bindra Biopic: Has The Harsh Varrdhan- Anil Kapoor Starrer Been Shelved After The Duo Began Shooting For Thar?

It was back in 2017 that a biopic on Olympics Gold medalist, Abhinav Bindra was announced. Harsh Varrdhan Kapoor was to play the shooter. Later, Anil Kapoor joined the film and was to play the on-screen father of Abhinav. He even shared an update of the shoot last year. However, it now seems like the film has been shelved.

According to a report in Bollywood Hungama, the film has been put to the back-burner, at least for the time being. The main reason behind that is the duo giving their dates to a new film, Thar. It's the same film where they would share screen space with Fatima Sana Shaikh and which will be directed by Raj Singh Choudhary. The film is currently being shot in Rajasthan and would be releasing directly on OTT. Fatima has also been sharing pictures from the sets.

While we are waiting eagerly for Thar, we are keen to watch Abhinav Bindra's biopic as well. The wait has been too long and we hope that the makers take the necessary action to shoot the film soon. It will be based on Bindra's autobiography, "A Shot at History: My Obsessive Journey to Olympic Gold and Beyond" and will be directed by Kannan Iyer who has earlier helmed Ek Thi Daayan.
