This Actor Will Play The Villain In Akshay Kumar Starrer Sooryavanshi!

Rohit Shetty is all set to expand his cop universe. After two parts of Ajay Devgn starrer Singham and the superhit Ranveer Singh starrer Simmba, Akshay Kumar will enter the universe as Sooryavanshi. For this film, he will also be reuniting with his Namaste London co-star, Katrina Kaif after 9 years.

Well, now Rohit Shetty has also found the villain for the film. For a powerful actor like Akshay, we needed a formidable villain to match him up, someone who could have villainy sparkling in his eyes. And who could have been better than Abhimanyu Singh?

Talking about how Abhimanyu landed the role, Abhimanyu informed Mumbai Mirror,

 “It began when Rohit sir saw my 2017 Tamil action-thriller Theeran, which was based on a true story. It was a big hit in which I had played a villain with heroic shades. He liked my performance in that film and thought that I would fit the role of the baddie in Sooryavanshi. It so happens that I live near Rohit sir’s office and one day, he called me over and congratulated me for bagging the part.”

Abhimanyu had made his acting debut with Rakesh Omprakash Mehra’s Aks. He was a part of films like Gulaal and the more recent Mom.
