Aditya Narayan Admits Covid Did Speed Up His Wedding Plans With Shweta Agarwal, Reveals How He Asked Her Parents

Aditya Nayaran is happy he’s not alone during the lockdown in this second wave of the Covid-19 pandemic. The singer who married girlfriend Shweta Agarwal in December last year got candid about how it was frustrating for him not to be able to meet her during the lockdown last year despite living less than 500 meters away from her.

The singer had an intimate wedding ceremony attended just by their very close friends and family at the ISKCON temple, Mumbai and Aditya admits that the lockdown played its role in accelerating their wedding plans.

“Covid did speed up the process of us getting married, because in the last lockdown, we used to have many small arguments as I used to miss her a lot. Her own place is less than half a kilometre from where we live now, but we could still never meet which was very frustrating. You want your loved ones to be near you… So that is when I had decided that after this lockdown there are going to be no further arguments regarding spending time with each other,” the Indian Idol host told Pinkvilla about marrying his girlfriend of 10 years.

Talking about meeting Shweta’s family and asking for her hand in marriage, he revealed, “I don’t care how many people come, I don’t care where we do it, just give me your daughter’s hand in marriage and let's just do it.”

Today, the singer is glad that they took a timely decision as happy that he will never be alone anymore.

In April, both Aditya and Shweta had tested positive for Covid-19. The singer had to get hospitalized and admitted he was in unburnable pain. After skipping on his hosting duties on Indian Idol 12 for better part of the month, Aditya returned to the sets of the show recently post recovery.
