Aditya Roy Kapur Roped In For Yet Another Action Film Titled Afghan, Anushka Sharma To Produce It?

Aditya Roy Kapur has been in the industry for quite some time now, but it looks like the man has been getting his due lately. The actor recently gave a hit with Malang and is all set to strike back in theatres with Ahmad Khan’s action film, Om: The Battle Within. Now, it looks like he has been signed for yet another project.

If a report in Peepingmoon is to be believed, then Aditya Roy Kapur has been approached for yet another action film. This one would be produced by Anushka Sharma and her brother Karnesh’s production house, Clean Slate Films. The report suggests that the brother-sister duo had been looking forward to making an action film that would be massy, commercial yet unique and different from the regular masala films. Now, they have finally zeroes in one and it looks like they approached Aditya for the lead role, given his recent success as an action hero.

The film has been reportedly titled Afgan and it would go on floors in May. It is also being said that Aditya immediately gave his nod to the project. It would be directed by Anshai Lal who earlier helmed Phillauri. Well, the official confirmation is yet to be made and we hope that it is announced soon. Aditya is currently busy shooting for Om, for which he has learnt a number of martial art forms like Tai Chi and Kung Fu.
