    After Ghoomketu, Nawazuddin Siddiqui’s Bole Chudiyan To Be His Second Film That Will Release On OTT?

    The entire country is under lockdown.  A lot many industries too are suffering because of it and the film industry too is reeling under the ill-effects. No shoots are happening, the studios are shut, the cinema halls are shut. There are huge losses that the multiplexes are witnessing and the cinema business will not be fully functional for the next 6 to 8 months and therefore, most of the films that were made for the silver screen are making their way to the OTT platforms.

    Well, we had seen how Laxxmi Bomb starring Akshay Kumar, Gulabo Sitabo starring Ayushmann Khurrana and Amitabh Bachchan are already on their way to OTT platforms and now, the co-producer of the Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Tamannaah Bhatia starrer Bole Chudiyan also hinted that the film will see a digital release. Speaking to Mid-Day co-producer Rajesh Bhatia stated, "Cinema is a great medium, but it doesn't seem like theatres will start functioning within the next six months."

    He went on to say that even of the cinema halls of would be opened to the public much sooner, the public would be scared of flocking to the theatres now and therefore they are open to a digital release idea, “We are hence open to the idea of an OTT release. If the film beams to 200 countries, we think that's a great [deal] for the right price." Bhatia told Mid-Day

    Well, earlier Nawazuddin Siddiqui’s Ghoomketu was given up for a web release on ZEE5  and therefore this is Nawaz’s second film to hit the web platform. Bhatia also stated that they would be held responsible by their investors. "We are responsible to our investors. [We must] meet a timely release, and generate revenue. Cash flow needs to be generated [and directed towards] forthcoming productions"
