After Sonam Kapoor, Zareen Khan To Play A Lesbian In Her Next Film Akele Hum, Akele Tum

Zhareen Khan has been missing from the big screen for a while now and was back in the news recently for allegedly having come on board for Salman Khan’s Bigg Boss 13. The actress who was last seen in Hate Story 3 has now bagged another movie titled Hum Bhi Akele Tum Bhi Akele which is a homosexual love story. After Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aiesa Laga that released earlier this year and Ayushmann Khurrana having announced a gay love story with Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan, Zareen has now joined the bandwagon and that too in the Pride month.

Akele Hum, Akele Tum will also feature actor Anshuman Jha who plays a gay man and the film shows the bond he shares with Zareen’s character who is a lesbian. Director Harish Vyas spoke to Mid-Day about the film and actors and said, "Anshuman has a sensitivity, which I always wanted his character to have. Zareen impressed us with her audition. Their chemistry and pairing will entertain the audience." 

In an interview with IANS Zareen brushed of all rumours of being a part of Bigg Boss and spoke about her bold new movie project. "Being an artist, I am open to all kind of cinema and characters. Especially in today's time, the audience is not restricted to just watching commercial cinema. In fact, they are welcoming different genres and all kind of films. Big, small, independent, short... doesn't matter. What matters is the subject and the content. So, here I am learning and growing every day."

Akele hum, Akele Tum is already being shot in Delhi and will release on Valentine’s Day 2020.
