Ajaz Khan Tests Positive For COVID-19 Few Days After Being Arrested By The NCB, Hospitalised

Ajaz Khan had been grabbing the headlines for the last few days. The controversial TV actor was taken to custody some days back by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) the moment he landed at the Mumbai Airport from Jaipur. He was interrogated for over 8 hours and raids were done in two of his houses. After this, he was arrested by the NCB, even though he claimed to be innocent. Now, the actor has tested positive for the novel Coronavirus.

According to a report in news agency ANI, Ajaz has tested positive for COVID-19. He had also been shifted to a hospital after the reports came positive. The report also added that the officer(s) involved in the probe would also be undergoing a covid test.

Ajaz was taken to custody by the NCB on 31st March. NCB Zonal Director Sameer Wankhede said, "We have found his involvement in the Shadab Batata case and he is definitely facing some serious charges. His statement is being recorded at present.'' Sahdab Batata was arrested two weeks back and the NCB has apparently found drugs worth Rs. 2 crores. Ajaz has always said that he is innocent and added, "Neither was anything found from my home nor the airport. Ask them where they got it... what they got was four sleeping pills. My wife had miscarried and was in depression. She was taking those pills."
