    Akshay Kumar and his family was spotted at the Mumbai airport ready to take off for London where the actor will be resuming shoot for his next with Bell Bottom filmmaker Ranjit Tiwari. The Bollywood star had arrived back in India after his mother Aruna Bhatia was admitted to the ICU of Mumbai’s Hiranandani hospital in a critical condition.

    The actor was spotted by the paparazzi at the Mumbai airport where he had arrived with wife Twinkle Khanna, daughter Nitara and son Aarav to catch a flight back to London. He folded his hands in gratitude as the cameras clicked away while his family entered the airport premises.

    The actor lost his mother on the morning of September 8. "She was my core. And today I feel an unbearable pain at the very core of my existence. My maa Smt Aruna Bhatia peacefully left this world today morning and got reunited with my dad in the other world. I respect your prayers as I and my family go through this period. Om Shanti," Akshay wrote.

    The yet-untitled project with Ranjit Tiwari also stars Rakul Preet Singh and is bankrolled by Pooja Entertainment. The same team had earlier worked on Bell Bottom together which was released in theatres last month ending the months-long lockdown of the cinemas.
