Akshay Kumar Approached To Play Suheldev In The Adaptation Of Amish Tripathi’s Novel Legend Of Suheldev?

Akshay Kumar seems to be on a film signing spree and there are no less films that are being offered to the actor. Earlier today, news had been doing the rounds that he would begin shooting for a film with Priyadarshan from September next year. Now, we have learnt that he had been approached to play the lead in the cinematic adaptation of Amish Tripathi’s novel,  Legend Of Suheldev.

According to a report in Bollywood Hungama, producer  Ashwin Varde, who has bought the rights of the film shares a good bond with the superstar and had approached him to play the lead. A source said, "Ashwin and Akshay had a closed door meeting recently where he bounced off the idea and his vision behind the project. Akshay has loved it and has already given his verbal nod to the period saga. The dates and other modalities need to be worked out now, before Akki signs on the dotted line. If Akshay steps in for the film as the hero, he will also co-produce it. While the initial plan was to get a Gen-Y star to step in for the role, Akshay has shown his interest in the project and his presence will only add more star power to it."

Well, well, well, if he does sign it, we can expect an Akshay Kumar  marathon in coming couple of years. His film Sooryavanshi is ready for release. Bell Bottom and Prithviraj have been wrapped up and are in post-production stage. The actor is filming Atrangi Re, post which he would shoot for Bachchan Pandey. He also has films like Housefull 5, Rakshabandhan, Ram Setu, Jagan Shakt’s next which is tentatively titled Mission Lion and Priyadarshan’s next!
