Akshay Kumar To Team Up With Ekta Kapoor And Raaj Shandilyaa For A Comedy? Here's What We Know

Akshay Kumar has been on a roll and ever since shoot resumed post the pandemic, we have been seeing the actor shooting for films back to back. In fact, he has also signed a few more and three of his films have already gotten a release date in 2021. Now, it looks like he is all set to star in yet another film, and this one maybe an out-and-out comedy.

If a report in Pinkvilla is to be believed, then the actor has talked to Ekta Kapoor and Dream Girl director Raaj Shandilyaa for a comedy film. In fact, this happened in Jaisalmer, where he is currently station along with the cast and crew of Bachchan Pandey and Ekta and Raaj flew to Rajasthan to talk to the super busy actor. A source said, “Ekta and Raaj took off to Jaisalmer via a private charter jet, and stayed at the same hotel as Akshay and team Bachchan Pandey. They went there to discuss an out-and-out comedy with the actor, and he is said to have loved the idea and has asked the team to come up with a bound screenplay. Having wrapped up three films in the last 4 months, he is now looking to form a lineup for the next two years, and is constantly discussing films with probable collaborators.”

That's not all, looks like several producers have flown down to Jaisalmer to discuss a probable collaboration with Akshay Kumar. It was also mentioned that Jackky Bhagnani and Ashwin Varde were amongst them and while the former discussed about Bell Bottom and Jagan Shakti helmed Mission Lion, the latter discussed Oh My God 2.

We wonder if Akshay would give a nod to the project, but hope that he does!
