A few days ago it was reported that Alia Bhatt will resume shooting for Gangubai Kathiawadi this month. The shooting came to a halt back in March after filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali contracted coronavirus. Soon after he recovered, Alia tested positive for COVID-19 and then a janta curfew was announced due to the second wave of the pandemic. As a result, the team could not resume work. Well, Alia is going to get pretty busy now that the situation is getting better.

According to a report shared by Spotboye, the actress will resume Gangubai Kathiawadi on June 20th with a dance sequence. Only 2 days of shoot remains for the film and then Bhansali will finally be able to call it a wrap. Well, after completing Gangubai Kathiawadi, Alia will jet off to Hyderabad for SS Rajamouli’s RRR. A source revealed, “Her shooting in Hyderabad begins from July 1. It is likely to continue for two weeks.”

The report further suggests that both the films are being readied for release in theatres in the next 6 months. Well, now that’s what we call a busy bee! Other than Gangubai Kathiawadi and RRR, Alia has two other films in the pipeline-- Brahmāstra with Amitabh Bachchan and Ranbir Kapoor, and Darlings co-starring Shefali Shah and Vijay Varma. The actress will also reportedly make her digital debut with the second season of Masaba Masaba on Netflix.
