Amitabh Bachchan & Sooraj Barjatya To Collaborate For The First Time; Will Begin 2021 With Their Family Drama

Sooraj Barjatya is known for his family dramas which turn out to be absolute masterpieces on the silver screen. Well much to the delight of his fans, the filmmaker has not one but two exciting projects to wow the audience with! Another good news is that one of the projects will feature mega star Amitabh Bachchan! That’s right. The filmmaker worked with the superstar’s son Abhishek Bachchan in his 4^th film Main Prem Ki Diwani Hoon, co-starring Kareena Kapoor Khan and Hrithik Roshan. But Barjatya and Big B never had a chance to work together.

Well, 2021 will change that! According to a report shared by Mid Day, their film will be an out and out family drama and Big B will begin shooting for it right after Ajay Devgn’s directorial Mayday. A source was quoted saying, “The film will roll in the first quarter of 2021, and mark the first collaboration of Bachchan and Barjatya, as actor and director. Bachchan had loved the script when it was narrated to him earlier this year. He plays the family patriarch.”

Barjatya’s other project, which has been the talk of the town since the past few days, will be front lined by Bollywood’s Bhaijaan Salman Khan. The film will be a love story but it will only go on floors in 2022. The source revealed, “Sooraj is currently focusing on his film with Big B, and his son's debut. His next with Salman is likely to roll only in 2022.”
