Anurag Kashyap & Anil Kapoor Swap Homes; Filmmaker Jokes Anil Has To Do Films Like Race 3 To Keep Up His Lavish Lifestyle

Anil Kapoor and Anurag Kashyap engaged in a fun house swap for the promotions of their upcoming film Ak vs. AK. While Anurag gave a tour of Anil’s lavish home, the latter poked around the Gangs of Wasseypur director’s place making hysterical comments on each other’s lifestyles.

Anurag enters ‘pre-historic’ Anil’s luxurious home in Juhu and jokes, “To maintain this lavish lifestyle he has to do films like Race 3, and it is rumoured that he is all set to add a fourth floor to this three stories house. To save us from Race 4 only BMC can help us.”

Anil, on the other hand, stepped into Anurag’s home theaters and said, “Our film release in multiplexes and single screens, his film only release here in his home theatre.” Commenting on the filmmaker’s DVD collection he says, “World’s best DVD collection, which Anurag copies and makes his worst films.”

The two AKs’ who are playing themselves in this mockumentry style drama for Netflix even toured each other’s bathrooms and left to stones unturned in passing some rather cheeky remarks on each other’s careers in keeping with their rivalry.

The movie helmed by Vikramaditya Motwane is releasing on Netflix on December 24. A synopsis of the film explains the plot as, “A brash film director (Anurag Kashyap, as himself) kidnaps the daughter of a movie star (Anil Kapoor, as himself) and films the star’s desperate search for his daughter in real-time as his next blockbuster.”
