Anurag Kashyap’s First Wife Aarti Calls #MeToo Allegations Against Him A ‘Cheap Stunt’; Says ‘There Is No Integrity Left’

Actress Payal Ghosh has claimed that filmmaker Anurag Kashyap forced himself upon her during her second visit to his house. She alleged that he made her feel uncomfortable and, according to her chat with India TV, told her that “it is okay” because other actresses he has worked with like Huma Qureshi and Mahi Gill “are just a call away”. Kashyap denied these allegations and called all accusations against him ‘baseless’. He also slammed Payal for dragging the names of other women in this controversy in her attempt to frame him. While Bollywood celebs such as Taapsee Pannu, Anubhav Sinha, Tisca Chopra have come out in support of the filmmaker, Kangana Ranaut tweeted: “Anurag is very much capable of doing what #PayalGhosh suggesting, he cheated on all his partners, self admittedly has never been monogamous.”

Well Kashyap’s first wife Aarti Bajaj took to her official handle a while ago to defend the filmmaker and wrote: “First wife here.. You are a rockstar @anuragkashyap10. Keep empowering women as you do and the safest place you create for all of them. I see it first hand with our daughter. There is no integrity left and the world is full of losers and no brains baying for blood of anyone who has a voice. If everybody spends the energy which they use in hating others constructively this world will be a better place. Cheapest stunt I have seen till now. First it made me angry then I laughed so hard as it cannot come more framed then this . I am sorry that you have to go through this .That’s the level of them. You stay HIGH and keep using your voice. We love you.”

In one of his tweets, Kashyap had mentioned that he has never indulged in any inappropriate activity with any woman-- be it his first wife, second, or any lover, actresses he worked with, or girls who work in his team-- nor does he encourage it. In another post, the filmmaker said that he knows he’s going to be attacked a lot and many people have even called and asked him to stay quite.
