Anushka Sharma Intends To Keep Her Baby Away From The Spotlight, Actress Says, "It’s Hard Enough For Adults To Deal With It"

The beginning of 2021 is special for the parents to be Anushka Sharma and cricketer Virat Kohli who are all set to welcome their first child in January. The couple announced the good news in August and ever since it has been has all been about balancing work and preparing for parenthood for the couple.

In the last trimester of her pregnancy, Anushka posed for the shutterbugs for the cover of a leading magazine. In a special conversation on motherhood, the actress spoke about her lockdown pregnancy, keeping it a secret through the promotions of Pataal Lok and preparing for parenting in 2021.

Talking about protecting the privacy for her baby Anushka cleared her stand on wanting to keep her child away from the media glare. “We’ve thought about it a lot. We definitely do not want to raise a child in the public eye—we don’t plan on engaging our child in social media. I think it’s a decision your child should be able to take. No kid should be made to be more special than the other. It’s hard enough for adults to deal with it. It’s going to be difficult, but we intend to follow through,” told Vogue India.

Anushka and Virat seem to have planned ahead in these months during the lockdown and when asked about balancing career with parenting duties the actress has a precise and well thought out answer. “We don’t see it as mum and dad duties, but as a family unit. For us, it’s important that our child be raised with a very balanced outlook. It is all about shared duties. I will be the primary caregiver, especially in the first few years, and that’s the reality. I am self-employed and I can decide when I am working if I do one or two films a year. In Virat’s case, he plays round the year. What becomes important is the time we spend together as a family,” she told the magazine.

Going by Anushka’s articulated response we can see how the Bollywood diva is both prepared and excited about becoming a mother soon and with January 2021 just round the corner we can’t wait to hear the good news.
